Margaret Tucker's Weblog

Currently, the students are working on inventors. They have chosen an inventor to research. We have started the research process and the students seem very excited. They are using textbooks, encyclopedias, books, and research databases to find their information. As well as a report, they will be doing a poster on their inventor. When we are all finished they will present their inventors to the 5th and 6th graders. They are not only learning information on their inventors, but other skills that they will need as they go through middle and high school.

Podcast: Sun and Moon.pdf

Currently, we are studying the phases of the moon. The students have been asked to look and see what the moon looks like every night. We are recording what the moon looks like every night on a calendar for a month. This way they can see the different phases as we discuss it in class. We are also discussing the different seasons and why they occur.
