Andes CSD welcomes Chris Aguirre as Building Principal
Chris and his wife own a small hops farm in Middlefield and have lived on and off in Otsego County and rural Alaska for 30 years. Chris started his career in education as a school aid in Cherry Valley CSD and for the past 21 years he has worked in schools in Upstate New York, New York City, and rural Alaska.

Over the course of his career, Chris has held various leadership positions, including Director of Student Support Services for the Juneau School District, Assistant Superintendent for the North Slope Borough School District, and principal of Kodiak High School. He was also the founding principal of New York City's City Polytechnic High School of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology. Chris also taught the Visual Communications course for the Northern Catskills Occupational Center for seven years.
Chris holds an undergraduate degree in geography from Humboldt State University and a graduate degree in educational technology from Pepperdine University. He is also a New York City Leadership Academy graduate. He holds teaching and administrative credentials from New York and an administrative certificate with superintendent endorsement from Alaska.
