This year we are opening our Pre-K program to children who turn 3 on or before December 1st 2024 and 4 year olds who turned 4 on or before December 1 2024. The class will be a mixed age-level grouping. We plan to limit the number of children in the class to approximately six 3 year olds and up to ten 4 year olds. Andes residents will be given first priority. Should there be more than the six/ten split, we would then conduct a lottery according to NY State’s recommended process for all available slots:
“Your child will be included in the lottery, an impartial selection procedure. On Thursday, June 27, names will be randomly chosen for program placement. In the event that the number of entries surpasses the available slots, your child will be placed on a waiting list according to the sequence of their selection in the lottery. Should a vacancy arise, you will receive notification accordingly.”
